It is so wonderful that Margaret gets to be young again and see the man she once loved. The three of them work well together and find the dragon is not so fierce. One suggestion: . . . and (set) near an ancient willow. I really am enjoying these Magic Mirrow stories.

Me too! What started out to be a short little story has gained a life of its own and I am having fun writing it and teaching life's lessons with a dash of humor.

Good tension as Margaret climbs the stairs to the attic then realises, 'they've gone through.' I like that - no wrinkles. No aching joints. as Margaret stepped through. Loved the scene when these old frinds rescued the dragon from the porcupine needles. A great read, Carol.
cheers

Wouldn't that be awesome to step through a mirror and be young again...even if for a short time. And yes Frederick wasn't much of a watch dog...whimpering and wanting attention. He's adorable.

OOOOOOOh I wanted more of this story. It is still raining here. Yuck. Cold and wet. Sandra goes in soon for her left eye. I hope the weather gets better for everyone. Karen

Yes, I am so happy that Sandra got in earlier than expected. It's been so difficult for her as well as so many others on FS. It's cold and snowing here...I thought we were done with it, but no...snow snow snow. I'm looking for spring.

I agree with Wendy!
As I read this I kept thinking what an incredible movie it would make...for children and all who recall the magic of fairy tales!
This is my favorite chapter and here I am out of sixes early Tuesday morning.
Frederick is a sweet semi ferocious (kinda) dragon...
Love him!
Virtual six million stars!

Maybe someone will come along and be willing to work on it with me at least for illustrations though I too can imagine it as a movie. Matt wasn't ready to jump on board.

Carol, this needs to be not only a book, but a movie for children (and their adults). Your descriptions are so vivid, and in my mind I see it all - and it's so much better than most of the children's movies around.

I would so much love that...I did see a you tube that shows how to illustrate things yourself, but I doubt that I could do it myself and it takes lots of money to get someone interested. Thanks so much, Wendy.

Oh, good. I'm happy to see Margaret involved. I love the little dragon. He is a perfect addition to the story. I like this story, Carol. It's like a warm breeze after all the horror and mystery stories on here.

That's why I have to write a little of this and a little of that to keep my head on an even keel...which is difficult as I age. LOL I truly am enjoying the In The Attic series with all it's magic and fun. Thoug I do love Eleanor too! Maybe the next book will be a wedding in an English castle and lots of humor and ghosts.

I have been so much enjoying these stories of the saga of Jordan and Quinn in the attic, and I can put myself in the place of Jordan and have my twin brother in the place of Quinn and we identify with what's going on in the story. Now you've entered Margaret and old lady and I'm starting to identify with her as well. This is a wonderfully written story. I appreciate it so much. May you have a wonderful day and a very good week. Patricia.

Thank you so much, Patricia. I am thrilled that you can step into the story and feel as if you and your brother are having the adventure. Makes it even a better story.

Carol,
This is a great story. How the little fire spitting dragon was afraid is way to funny. I hope Fiona will talk to them and help get the children free before it's to late.
Well done my friend
