This is a momentous chapter, Carol. I felt like I was in the room with them, not a goon mind you. Lol. This was riveting to say the least, my friend. Your talent is extraordinary. I'm sorry to hear about John, hopefully he will heal soon.

I like that bit after Ethan asks Vito "who took her" and then the drama eraupts around him, and he's off. A good chapter in this multi author book Carol.

It was raining, and the shadows weren't empty. - I don't understand this line. Does it say that the shadows had men hiding in them?

Yes, evil lurked in those shadows despite the rain. WE are currently waiting for Robert Zimmerman to post his chapter...he follows Wendy. thanks as always.

He writes a lot of cooking stories and recipes...great ones so I was surprised he sliced his finger so bad. Just proves it can happen to the best of us.

Ethan now knows questions can get him killed, but it is his job. Vito doesn't seem to know where his sister is, so Ethan has to look for her. But first he has to keep himself alive. Good action and reaction to the situation.

Another great chapter, Carol, filled with a tone of menace and threat. Ethan has got himself in deep, and he has no idea at this point of where this will end up - apart from himself in a coffin. He'll have to do some smart thinking! Sorry, I am out of sixes.

Heard from John this morning and he says his "digits" are doing fine and he's ready to jump back into the story. So hopefully, we will see soon where this adventure is going.
