Thanks for sharing the artwork and story about Florence Henderson. You did a good job with the opening hook, then give us good biographical information. She was lucky her mother encouraged singing. It makes such a difference for a young girl or woman to have that support. I saw an occasional episode of "The Brady Bunch," because I had graduated college and started a teaching career when the show had begun.
I'm glad that she supported causes and places that were important to her, and she had a very active life. It's a shame that her death came only days after she was mentoring on "DWTS."

I enjoyed this review of Florence Henderson's life. I used to cringe when I turned the TV and "The Brdy Bunch" was on but Florence Henderson seemed to be a talented performer and decent person.

This is a well written tribute story about beloved Florence Henderson. Your photo image presentation was a bit striking to me, to see her name on a grave. A small-town girl like my mom from Monessen, PA and then got married in NYC and never looked back, was a New Yorker until she passed. So, I can relate to that small town girl and the way you described it. Florence Henderson was a part of our growing up and part of our families. She was always a good actress and performer. I was one of those kids who watched The Brady Bunch on a regular basis, and Henderson was the consummate mother, the one we all wanted to have.
This is a fine run-down of Henderson's career. I had no idea she was from the state of my own birth.

I enjoyed that biographical story of her life. Quite a character! Well researched and well written. I miss those old TV shows about families and what to many of us was "normal life". She sounded like she was not only gifted but compassionate and lived her life well. It is hard for a star not to be corrupted by fame. Esther
