You did a very good job of arranging the kidnapping and making it sound believable. Everyone is as upset as they would be if it was real life, and they act accordingly. Good job.

Thanks very much, Carol. I appreciate those 6 stars too. This is the beginning of the climax now, and we get to see how everyone reacts to the events taking place.

Wow Jim,
What an exciting chapter. Well done! I was on the edge of my seat when I was reading it. I don't recall the character Woody, so I may have skipped a chapter. I have to go back and read it when I get the chance. What a bunch of low lifes. Why do people love money so much that they'll do almost anything for it? It baffles me. Great job buddy.
Have a blessed day.

Thanks very much, Tom, and for those 6 stars too. Woody was one of the three bodyguards Brian and Julia hired at Fran's suggestion. He was turned early on. Everyone seems to have a price, and for him, it was $250k.

I thought Woody was solid, but he sold out it seems, I can't believe, obviously there are no scruples in this world, these Pharma companies would obviously go to any lengths to get their way, beautifully written, blessings Roy
Typo : Who (tased) me. Tasered?

Thanks, Roy. You never know whom to trust these days. You're right about the dearth of scruples.

Tased and tasered are both correct, but tased is a little more common.

I knew they were going to take little Johnny, yet I was still surprised. You wait until Marie get's her hands on that bodyguard.
This was an excellent, thrilling addition to this story, Jim. I was on the edge of my seat as you built me up for the dramatic kidnapping scene.
Great work, my friend.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and were still surprised when it happened, Steve. Thanks so much for those 6 stars. Marie will be with us now until the end. Let's see what her role will be in this climax. I think you'll enjoy it.

It's funny how Marie has become my favorite character. I love that! Well-deserved.

This is another excellent chapter. This is the second kidnapping I have read about today. You have done a great job building up to the moment of the kidnapping. Betrayal of trust is a terrible thing. I do not see any need for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Thanks very much, Lee. I figured this would be the best way to get Brian to stop his trials.

Thanks very much, Dolly. It was time to step things up, and this is just the beginning. I hope you'll continue to enjoy the action which will be pretty well non-stop from now to the end.

Well, I knew it was coming, or at least thought it would soon. Now, I have to jump in line and get ready for the payback. And I'm hoping it comes with a vengeance. Thanks for sharing.

Yep, it was time to pick up the pace, which will be pretty relentless from now on until the end. "With a vengeance." I like that Ric.

    Thanks for those 6 stars!

Of all the things that could happen, I never expected they would kidnap Johnny. That one surprised me. I thought they would something, but not that. Great job of writing.

Thanks, Barbara. They hit the Kendricks where it really hurts, and now maybe they're regretting their decision to move forward with the testing.

Wow, this is a thrilling one, Jim. I started suspecting Woody when he took the wrong turn. It didn't seem quite right, in his job, that he would have made such an error. But the taser attack came so quickly afterwards that it provided the necessary dramatic impact. And poor little Johnny in the middle of it all, crying for his Mommy! Even so, I didn't anticipate that he would be the one to be kidnapped. Well done for the build-up of error contributing to this crisis. This chapter has worked perfectly with smooth transition to different scenes and credibility of plot. Jules will be beside herself and needing Fran's characteristically calm and professional reassurance. Well done, Jim! Exemplary! Take care Debbie

Thanks very much, Debbie, and for those 6 stars too.

Did you notice how I switched to third person? It will remain that way until the end of the story because I want the climax to be seen from many different POVs, since all of the main characters are in place now.
