Ok, Katharine, LOL
Colour me confused but didn't I see and comment on this yesterday.
I am assuming you deleted the previous as you found the means to add this to the original prompt?
Whatever, it is still good and an enjoyable read 😊

Tim, I am the most untechy person in the world. Took me forever to put it where it was supposed to be. Such a silly mess. Thanks for reading it AGAIN :)

This sounds like a vacation with a murderous theme and that feeling that something bad is going to happen anytime soon is not much like a holiday, another fine chapter in this murder mystery here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x x x

thanks, Dolly. Am smiling because whoever takes over the story has got to figure it out. Many thanks for your comments!

You did an excellent job of continuing the story. I just read a previous chapter and yours fits in well with the character development and plot. That Max is definitely not to be trusted. The idea of the tide coming in is pretty scary. Cave exploring might not be something all of the group wants to do, anyway. I think Max must have something sinister in mind. I don't know whether I'll try to write something, but it's tempting. judi

thanks, Judi, it was fun, I just got mixed up on how to post it properly. But all is well. I think you should give it a go :)

You're welcome. You did a great job. Sounds a lot like "And then there were None," doesn't it? Couldn't do much of anything today. The power was out and just came back on. judi

Oh, no. well, I'm glad it's back on now. I keep switching from cool to heat. Have it off at night but with an overhead fan on, then a little heat in the morning, and by afternoon, a little AC. Crazy weather. Do you listen to books on tape or whatever they have now, or are you still reading. Anyway, I just started a book by Jodi Picoult called Nineteen Minutes - pretty good, do far. (except she's a Democrat) :)

EEEEEK! Oh, Katharine, this is tapping into my deepest fears: being (a) underground and (b) in the dark with (c) with the possibility of being trapped (d) and drowning. Why oh why did I have to give you instructions on how to post this!! Every nerve ending on my entire body is on high alert!
Can't wait to see where the next writer will take this!!!! I repeat: EEEEEK!
XOXOXO

Did you change the chapter? I thought I already read this. I still like it and still like the concept. You guys are good. Well, anyway, I enjoy reading you. Keep it up.

I didn't know how to post it at first to connect it with hers, Had to get Tom to help me. Took forever. but glad you like it. :)

Yeah, I would never try that. I have problems just posting a poem. I have to go back and separate all the lines and punctuation every time.

I really enjoyed the sense of mystery in this chapter! The way Max seems a bit too eager to lead the group - and how the others are starting to doubt him - adds some tension. I love the moment where Jake and Cassidy are trying to figure out what's going on with Eve's disappearance. The dialogue feels natural. I'm really curious to see what happens next! Keep up the great work!

Thanks, Michael. I 'm sure you know this is a piece where different people write each chapter. It's fun and you never know what the next person will come up with.
Thanks for your lovely comments!!
