I completely agree with everything said in your poem. If you don't have trust, you don't have anything. Trust is earned, not given. People don't take trust seriously these days and take it for granted.

good poem about trust among human beings and what that entails. I like the image chosen, although it is not about humans! In ny event, a thoughtful poem about an important topic Sadly trust is in short supply these days.

Beautifully stated. I believe this should be the desired goal of all who find themselves involved and in love with another human being. Sadly, some are only in love with the idea of being in love. They do a disservice to the actuality of love and all that it is supposed to mean.

Beautifully written and sounds like such a nice ode to what trust should be, and how life should go from now on;"Both trust and pride
connect cohesively
to share a heartfelt love
where beauty, peace
and hope can reside.". I found the above line fascinated as trust and pride sometime creates havoc.

What I like most about this poem is the way you connect trust and pride, giving them equal importance. Trust is a give-in, but pride is just as significant. I also enjoyed the subtle rhyme at the start of each stanza.

One line in your poem caught my attention. 'Both trust and pride.' Because those four words describe so accurately how these seals survive. They have to display both 'trust and pride in their abilities to survive the perils of the ocean. A really great poem.
