I got confused there for a while then I realized you were telling different stories in one posting.

Each one was great, only problem not long enough

Gert.. Thank you for reading some of the old stuff in my portfolio. I'm flattered. Those three short stories were just a play on JUST IN CASE and JUSTIN CASE. I was simply messing around one day. Several people mentioned I should make them into short stories. Thanks again Carol

This is a good story which I enjoyed reading, it just goes to show that one minute we are up in the world.. Elated with everything and then suddenly we stumble and the world seems to cave in on us.

I did notice an error which you may wish to correct. I think the word is meant to be my and not I

I've been hanging out with my son and his wrestling buddies too much i guess. In their world, body-slam is a verb.

Very clever punch line. I enjoyed your relaxed style, as if you were retelling these stories to your friends. I also liked your use of the succinct "concrete city" and alliteration in paragraphs one and four.

I felt cut off by each tale - wanted to read more and wasn't ready to switch gears so abruptly. Please consider developing this into three separate pieces of about 2-3 times the length each. Add dialogue, perhaps.

You did a great job describing your scenes here - very vivid. I particularly liked the first piece. The first paragraph did an excellent job bringing out all of the senses - with the warm wind and the music. The reader can almost imagine being there. And then the contrast with the next paragraph of how everything turned sour so quickly was great. Well done.

I really liked the stories. Guessed about halfway through that they really weren't realated to one another so much but they were all great. Very descriptive and I think I liked the first two parts the best. Your imagery is excellent as you use little words to convey so much visual... thats great.

A few corrections i came accross

for miles and miles. - just say for miles.

I fear for my demise - How about.. I fear my demise is close.

I'm flattered that you would say I am a great writer. I've written things all my life, starting when I was in school. I did other people's essays just so I could write.
