Good Lord! When it rains, it pours. Troubles certainly tend to descend in packs. You have amazing fortitude to stand up to this series of issues happening at the same time.

Thank you for reading this one. It was one of the worst times ever. Until I got five pints of blood, I wasn't handling it very well. That was scary too because a lot of blood transfusions were causing ADES and I had to deal with that worry.

Re-promoting much appreciated. And here's another review for you. Don't know how I missed this one, but it is as full, detailed and action-packed as ever. Always enjoyable and interesting to read. Thank you. x

Kids will be kids, but yours went into overdrive. Actually, most of us did things that might have burned down the house, but somehow it didn't. Your write your story well and do a good job of keeping the reader reading.

Thank you Carol. Kids burning the house down by doing stupid stuff is most likely to happen when the parents aren't there. It was hard for me to believe my kids could have been that careless. I apprereciate your review and comments.

I read your other story first, Beth, and thought that was bad enough, but this topped it. What a terrible time this was for you and your family. At least no one died, and that's a blessing. Perhaps the moral of the story is "listen to your doctor" then all this may have been avoided, though not necessarily because kids do stupid things even when their parents are around.

I loved that "What's the number for 911?" Priceless.

And I thought I had some frightening experiences. I've experienced a kitchen fire, but only half the kitchen burned. I've had a car catch on fire while I was driving it, but another motorist motioned to me to get out of the car and I did immediately.

Your fire story is horrifying because you were hospitalized with a serious condition while your house was burning. This lets you know that whatever you think you've experienced, someone has had it worse. It's inspirational to know you recovered.

Thank you for an excellent review. It was a really tramatic time for all of us. Thankfully we survived. I enjoy remembering all we went though. It was an adventure but a very chaotic one.

My goodness, Beth. You have never had a dull moment have you? I'm sorry, but this made me laugh out loud. It's a Danish phenomena. When things are too horrible to contemplate, we have a tendency to burst out laughing. If not, we would just fall apart.
I feel so sorry for you all. What a mess and what an ordeal!!
I loved the part with finding the number for 911. Ullaxx

Thank you Ulla, Maybe I have a bit of Danish in my DNA. When I see someone slip down, I crack up laughing unless I think they are badly injuried. I even laugh at myself when I do something stupid. I'm always pleased when someone finds humor in my stories.

I'm glad you can see it from my point of view. But what a horrible mess it all was. Poor Connie must have felt horrible xx

Your chapter here speaks to the struggles of families with all sorts of issues, and the perseverance it takes to stay together and overcome the adversity. I thought the details of the issues, particularily the health issues you faced, and the fire in the house, with the kids running around screaming, really had plenty of emotion in the voice and that brought the reader into the scenes. estory

Thank you for the reveiw and comments. It was an emotional time for us, but looking back I see it as a part of life's up and downs we all face and I really wouldn't want to change a thing. I kind of like it when people find something to smile about in my stories.

I had a lot of female surgery too. Same problem. No fires though. Thanks for the share. I find it remarkable that sometimes our experiences seem very different through the passage of time. May you and yours have a stress free holiday season with much love and joy. Karen

Thank you Karen. We all have things in common, but our lives are different. If we all had the same experiences every day we wouldn't have anything to write about.

Wow, what a story and this could not have happened at a worse time (as if there is a good time for a house fire!). Thankfully, your family escaped unharmed. You have written the details of the event with clarity and feeling, which draws us in. So, yes, we want to read more.

I'm a little shocked that I haven't already read this part, but I definitely think it belongs in the book. Connie kind of reminds me of me in the early days, who am I kidding, and in the later days too. But I can say I hope she outgrew whims. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Ric. I'm a little shocked too, because you usually show up quickly to read my posts. It's okay if you are a little like Connie. She is the most fun to be around these days. She keeps all of us smiling.

I thought Connie might be blessed with an extra dose of personality. And that makes me happy to know, since my grandmother who raised me always said I was her sweet baby, the one with the biggest heart, on the days I can keep him out of trouble. LOL. Sorry, I'm running sixty plus reviews behind this week. I didn't want to spend Thanksgiving alone, so I went to the west coast to keep my mind occupied, now I'm back home with Covid for the third time. LOL.

Three times? Wow! That is terrible. I running way behind too, so I haven't posted anything recent. But I'm yet to get Covid from the first time. Yes, I knocking on wood. I probably just jinked myself by saying that. LOL

LOL. You probably don't get out as much as I do to push the button. But even as an old dude, I'm still afraid I might miss something. :-)
