I think this is precisely what you were supposed to do, Carol, and you did it extremely well - you use lots and lots of alliteration, but you don't start stringing so many D words together just for the sake of doing it that the story stops making sense. You've achieved the perfect balance of alliteration and adorable story. This is a cute children's story where the alliteration adds to the charm instead of muddying the waters. Brooke :-)
