I can see why this won! Great job!! The ending was brilliant, and the entire poem was about something we all can relate to! I love the subject matter.
The last stanza was my favorite:
"But when day of departure
for every journey came,
I failed to use my ticket --
no summits can I claim."
Such a sad but well-written poem of regret!

I can see why this won! Great job!! The ending was brilliant, and the entire poem was about something we all can relate to! I love the subject matter.
