Hello Brooke.
This looks like a winner to me. It is beautifully worked and holds true for so many. You have created lovely images.

Hi Brooke! I have just read I Meant to Sail the Oceans. What a story. We go through life with many of our good intentions undone. What a shame to have missed the journey! Wonderful word picture, great meter and rhyming. I thoroughly enjoyed this poem, and agree with its premise. Thanks for sharing another great. Blessings! Marjie

Brooke -- you are truly a wizad with these metered rhymes. Your vision in this one touches me in that the speaker has the imagination to travel and explore, but not the courage. Wistful, yearning and beautifully composed. D

Never did no wanderin huh? The road not traveled. This is a very melancholy, wistful poem. I liked the rhymes and quick meter. Easy to read, and with a good ending. This works perfectly. Well written poem, full of regret.

This is a beautifully written poem that describes our unfilled dreams that we will probably leave this Earth still having not fulfilled. Maybe I should make a list of all those dreams. Did you see the "Bucket List"? It's a movie about this subject.

Maybe there's still a chance you can get a refund. I'd try if I were you... you just never know. All kidding aside, good luck in the contest... hugs, Jack xxxxxxxxx

Nicely turned phrases all in a fine succession of quartrains. I would rightly call them cuplets, however I think i'm the only one that would. LOL with it.

I'm not at all sure why you would call my quatrains couplets, but I'm glad you like the poem anyway :-) Thanks, Keith. Brooke

Brooke, this is a great tongue-in-cheek.

Your meter and rhyme are impeccable, as usual. Yo always do great on quatrains. We need to see some quaterns. Got some?

Wonderful word pics. Good choices. pat

This was excellent. I'm sure you will do very well in the contest and I wish you the best. We've all got regrets. This is a nice little reminder to live in today.

I loved this particular piece. I felt it dealt with the fear in all of us. The fear to try and conquer the world out there. So many people dream but fail to do. Some never try. It took me almost 58 years to put my dreams into reality and I have never regretted or looked back since.
