This is precious! I just loved it. That is some smart five year old. This was a really cute piece. There were no spags. Teenage boys are pretty much the same the world over, when it comes to romance.

    Sharesy,

My little three year old grandaughter is going to be a quick one like the girl in this story..She always has a remark...out of the mouths of the innocent. Thanks! Carol

What an adorable story. This is well written and left me with a smile. I think both answer to her questions we right on the mark. Great job.

The details and dialogue in the story are believeable and I can image being there listening in on the conversation. I can hear the relief from dad when Beth asked her question. It seemed easy at the time but you know how that can go. I like the humor and the quick wit of the waitress. Good luck with the contest. ann

Very good Carol, a wise and prefect answer to the question in the end of your dialogue contest poem.
I have to say that Mike is right on top of things and knows how to answer questions.
smiles

PS Just to let you know I won't be reviewing for a couple or more months. I have been told I must take a break and take care of my health.

A delightful little story to read, carol. The dialogs you crafted are awesome and made me smile, absorb me from the beginning to the end. I love the detail of you story. A smart dialog like this
'Why does God make girls so beautiful?"
Fabulous post.
Love, amel

Hi there,

Another flawless and entertaining write you've got here. The characters are crafted well and believable in their actions. You also did well to set the scene with such a tight word count.

Well done!

Haha, even young Beth knows exactly what her stupid brother is up to. Shame, is Jimmy so transparent. I loved this contest entry. Full of fun and humour.
Well done, Smiles. Best wishes for the contest. luv jada

I think your story is precious. I like the daddy's and little girl's conversation. I assume the waitress was the mother of the little girl and boy.
