The eastcoast, midwest, and south are getting it real bad. My family told me it was 2 below in Atlanta just a few days ago. An icy presentation, my friend. Good read.

Hi Susan :)
Short and sweet, well written. I loved the concept.
I've been behind on reviews while polishing my novel for the editor before it goes back to the publisher.

Susan,
your flash fiction story is very well written. In a minimum amount of words for a maximum effect you've established a setting, conflict, and a resolution to your story. I wonder too if he made it. What a riveting ending.

Hi Sue. Good one. You left the reader deciding the final outcome of the pink mittened prisoner of the snow. I think that last paragraph could have more punch though.

Excellent work!! You managed to tell a great story in very few words incorporating elements of mystique, excitement, vivid imagery, and even feelings. Well done. Having left Illinois over 30 years ago, I'd forgotten about this kind of weather and the wind chill factors, ice spots, snow days, etc. You even got memory in there--writing doesn't get much better. And congratulations on being recognized for this work--well deserved. Wished I could do that.

Hi there, thank you so much! I am still trying to learn flash, some said this didn't qualify, but as long as you enjoyed it, I am happy! So smart of you to leave this area. We are in southern Indiana...just awful this year! I hope you have a great holiday and are safe and warm!! ") Susan....ps...you can do it, just keep at it. I have been trying for over a year, I can't remember the first post I made, but all you have to do is want to! ") KEEP WRITING! HUG!

Susan, this is excellent. Your voice is crisp, you've created suspense, you've allowed the reader to participate by creating his own ending. Well done. Nancy

Susan, great micro flash. I would have ended it like this :
Hoping I had made it on time, suddenly through the frosty windows, I see the smiling faces of two children as they wave at me.
Two other suggestions :
in the sun[,] almost blinding me
highway (delete hyphen in high-way)
Keep writing, my dear friend. Your mind is a wealthy pool of wonderfully creative narratives.

Good morning Susan. Wow - another flash fiction story, well written, with an open ended question remaining for the reader that opens up aching sigh as your story ends.

You should change it to read either...
...the voice on my truck's radio tells me.... or
...the voices on my truck's radio tell me.
Well done, my friend. Certainly, winter has arrived!

Hi Judy! So you didn't get my story about the Blues? It's about the music, not sadness. It is in my portfolio and I did release it. I don't think it's that bad that no one would review it? I guess you never know! ") It's the holidays, people are busy! I am always glad to hear from you Judy. I have a card ready to mail.! Smiles!! susan

So, someone is in trouble here, eh, Susan? I-65...traveled It many times. Good highway and a lot of those wind turbines there for at least eleven miles. Just one suggestion if I may:
"The voices on my truck's radio tells me" Make this "The voices on my truck's radio tell me..."
Interesting writing...Bob

Hi Bob! Thank you! Yes, it's a windy time of year here, that's for sure. From July to November, no rain. No wind. Nothing. NOW, cold subzero windchills, and WIND...I can't stand it. Oh, and I fixed this too, as always I appreciate your valuable help! xoxo, Susan
