What an incredible abecedarian poem you've written for the Faith contest, Joan! That took some doing, I'm sure! It's so well written, with so much good advice on how to behave, and how so many people have lost their way. It's a sad fact of life these days, my friend. Well done and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

Thanks, Sandra, for reading and review. Glad you liked it. This poem was written in 2014 and it didn't place in the contest.

Now that's a mouthful. Haven't we all been screaming and hollering for just that thing for years now? Pretty much since Sandy Hook? It just keeps getting worse and worse though, doesn't it. So sad. What are we to do now? The violence keeps erupting, people keep on blaming others, and kids keep dying in their own schools, on their own front steps. The world has gone from safe to a war zone of our own making. Only we can clean it up.

Great job with your abecedarian poem, Joan. I liked your message about the importance of teaching faith to the next generation otherwise, they will lack hope for the future. I especially liked "Questioning the wrong from the
Right of events." Instead of questioning the wrong of mass shootings, we keep getting stuck with the crazy insistence for the right to own guns.

Hello Joan,
I love to read an alphabet poem that is so smoothly written
one hardly notices the form. But it is the message that elevates.
Great things can emerge from little things, like a flicker,
a spark that inspires and passes from one soul to another.
Wouldn't it be nice to be jubilant again.
Best wishes for your wish to come true.

Chaos reigns supreme in a world without a dream. Man has turned his back on god and is a wild horse that can't be tamed, only god has the reins. Many are selfish, greedy and uncaring - that is the world today. For you, I wish a Happy Christmas because God loves us. K xx

Thank you for the review. Even if your children don?t follow your lead in practicing a religion, you still need to live a life of hope and charity to teach them. Maybe they may change their minds.
Thanks again

great poem about the true meaning of faith and what it means and how important it is to teach the next generation how to do the right thing and act the way they should

Some very wise words here, Joan. Loved the descriptive alliteration of voracious, vigorous violence. Unfortunately this tech world we live in has too much influence on the very young and it shows. Good luck in the contest, well said.

Hi Joan, yes the world as it stands is very confused place to be at the moment. It saddens me to see the deterioration of all of values. It just has to chance so the future generation will have something good to hold on to. Ulla:)))

Comment from June Sargent
I could not agree with you more. It has to begin in the home, where the inner sense of right and wrong - known as conscience - can be nurtured from a tiny flicker into a fiery desire to stand up for what is morally right. Otherwise, the world will mold our young ones into xenophobic monsters without a moral compass, simply existing in a dark desert with no flicker of hope. What a cruel and cold world that would be. Words of wisdom expressed creatively in abc form. Well done!
