This is lovely and an excellent contest entry. I can easily envision the petal slowly drifting down, tossed by the wind. It has a gentle, serene feel to it. Good luck.

This is a very nice 5-7-5 poem.
Great imagery with the floating/descending blossom dancing gracefully in the breeze.
Great satori line, summing up the first two lines.
The only improvemnet I would recommend would be to select a picture to go with it.

The way you describe it, I can see the blossom in my mind's eye. So you are right not to complement this haiku with an artwork. They're graceful, both the flower and the poem...:)
