I enjoyed your septolet that really does shift in meaning from the first to the second stanza--not everyone includes that feature in their work. Your contemporary picture adds another dimension, -Joan

I gather the message from the cartoon cell. Our modern world has a violent culture and that is largely attributable to the entertainment media's desire to hold the attention of the young long enough that marketers can pitch their bauble, beads and sugar coated whatever. It was a very different world in which we grew up. The power of the modern media was still developing. News preempted entertainment programming. Now news is a form of entertainment unto itself.

Hello Robina You must do something special to make your picture so huge ( what is your secret?)
)
Yes words can indeed be more powerful than hand combat.

To robina1978,
A growing concept of how many disputes are handled but when people listen when spoken to and heed the advice given there would be a lot less quarrels.
In most Septolets there are 15 words, divided in two.

I really enjoyed the picture and the message in your words. fighting is not positive and hurts others so, but being decent with your words is so positive. Blessings my friend

Good point! This is quite amusing, yet at the same time carries a good message. Although my brother and I would fight like cat and dog. LOL! Well done, Ine. Love the artwork! Av

Wow...this is just superb, Ine. You're, as they say, on a roll. I really admire how you made such a powerful statement with so few words. And, though I rarely comment on the accompanying artwork, your picture choice was inspired. Great job! Warm regards, Bev

hi Robina,
Good use of the form and you put forth an interesting message. Is fighting with rough words better than kicks and scratches? An interesting concept. Nice job--Ted

I love your illustration
Your poem is in good word count and line count for the septolet
Your second section finishes the point you are making well, as you move from emphasizing not physically fighting to instead fighting more decently with words :-) Brooke

You are so right! My Ma always told me "sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me!" Thanks for taking me down memory lane Ine!
