This is stunning. Full with the vivid images of the old woman, the pain, the sorrow and the scents of summer flowers. This one will be tough to beat.

The ending was a little rushed, because of the strict time limits on this site. Perhaps that is what threw you?

What a beautiful poem. I loved the second stanza and the images throughout were superb! The poem flowed free from start to finish and I found no trip areas that caused me to stumble. Love the pic and the use of language! Great job!
