I love the poem. Death is devastating. Espically for a child. Loving memories of the loved one helps. THe wind chimes were an excellant idea. Great work.

Excellent poem, very well written. You did a very good job in expressing your feelings in this soulful poem and the presentation tells of the peace I'm sure this man is feeling, even more so at him knowing of your love put in this.

This was such a beautiful poem, the rhymes, the choice of words, the way it flowed! Thank you so much for sharing this, it really was a pleasant read, although it was actually a little heartbreaking! This poem will be appreciated by many! ;-)

Hello jlsavell
Loved reading your abab poem
Yes it brought emotional tears to my eyes the thought of wind chimes when you said so well-

This gift of bells envelop life's mortal token
Please place it where nature revels in the shade
Sit beneath its station, hear God's breath spoken
Meditate life's splendor, though loss has made it fade

Gert

Wow! So young. Reminds me of the deaths of my mother at age 44 and our son's wife at the age of 46. It doesn't seem fair. The wind chime was a great idea and I am sure will be treasured for many years. I am thrilled to have you back as I love your writing. And, I have been offsite pretty much myself, so I understand. Hope you are doing well. Hugs, Sue

Not only is this a befitting and moving piece of poetry, your author's notes have inspired me with the tenderness that you shared with your son and all who will miss this man.

I've deliberately bookcased this as I may one day print your poem again and emulate your compassionate memory by using a heartfelt and very real way of expressing understanding and empathy.
