I like the optimism in this. The author has captured the determination and adventure in her sister's character in just a few lines.

Say as I have not heart before, blout, honest yet encouraging. A quick look and a answer that is not hard to miss (nothing beats a failure....)

Grace,

I love the polka dot bathrobe, green knee-length socks, and Camille's cute smile. I always think that to not try is one of the biggest failures we can have in life. I hope Camille continues to try things, even when she must be different to do so and when others just don't understand.

Excellent 5/7/5 poem.

Patricia

Thank you very much for the wonderful review! I hope that Camille continues to try as well, for the world would be a much worse place if she stopped. :) Best of luck to you! Thanks again!-Grace

Grace,

You have selected and interesting set of phrases for your 5/7/5. The seventeen syllables can be used further expanded to a number of thoughts.

No one can accomplish anything if they fail to try. As Yoda said, "try not...do." Trying is the first step to success. Even if some mock and ridicule, a doer will continue to try. It is much better to try and fail than to have given up and not tried.

Those that try may fail,
They will be mocked, ridiculed,
But they would have tried.

Curtis

The only failure is not to try at all. Every attempt bears its own form of success. But as T.S. Eliot wrote;" The last temptation is the greatest treason. To do the right thing for the wrong reason." Be well. -Ekim777

Very good. Your sister is soooo cute. The only thing I would change would be the word in the second line to MAY instead of WILL. Will is a word that pre-determines what is going to happen and take place as in I WILL do it. You used MAY in the first line saying that the person still has a chance not to fail and the second line should be also. (in my opinion only) Kudos

This is a lovely poem. The sentiment is beautiful and each word works in the context of the poem. I love the picture as well. The second "they" reads a bit awkwardly, but I'm glad it is differentiated in the poem with the italics.

Trying and failing is much better than not trying at all. You stated this wisdom perfectly in this 5-7-5. When you try once, it encourages you to try again. It's having the courage that is the most important. Great work on this, and best of luck to you.
