An enchanting tale continues aboard the bus with Tommy the mouse holding court. Again the nursery story continues, full of imagery and curious characters acting very nuch like humans..I have 2 dogs that are human. Sandra I do hope you get this illustrated in watercolours like 'Winnie the Pooh' or Beatrice Potter's tomes soon. Keep at it.

aw,Jim, thank you so very much for this wonderful review, and for the amazing 6 stars. You are just such a lovely person. How are you? Any news on another laptop? It must take ages to write new poems and reviews on your phone. Although it must take your mind off other things. Take care my dear friend, love you too. xsx Sandra

Dear Sandra,
A delightful tale of creatures going to school. The names you have chosen are quite a bit of fun, and a spider drawing with more than one arm caused me to smile. The rhyming and flow are just superb.
Warm regards,
Winslow

Hi Sandra:)
Your Hedgerow Tales are always delightful poetic lessons about living a good life. You teach children the value of cooperation and living together in unselfish harmony.
The creatures that live in Hedgerow are always pleased in the success of others and accept individual differences without any prejudice. This sets a great example for children. We need more children's poems and stories like your creations.
Love and Irish Hugs,
Roger

not knowing much about the hedgerow creatures, this is still a charming read. reminds me of Arthur. just wish that they had some qualities of critterdome. maybe i'm not being fair because I am not familiar w/your creation, but they seem interchangeable w/humans.

Hi ravenblack, I understand what you are saying, but these stories started 3 books ago, most on FS are familiar with them having been there from the start. The first book is on the book shelves in shops like, Waterstones, WH Smiths, etc and of course, on Amazon. They will be going on Kindle shortly. The second book is in the illustrates hands. The main object with my characters is that children should see that it doesn't matter what race you are, what differences there is, there is always a way to play and help others, which my Hedgerow friends do, this is why I have written them this way. I am pleased you liked it though! :) Sandra

This is utterly adorable with top notch rhyme and rhythm. The characters you create are incredibly cute. I laughed at the image of the spider in school socks - very funny!
As a mother of identical twins this piece particularly charmed me (mine being human, not mouse, mind). This is the sort of story I would have loved to have been able to purchase to read to my boys when they were younger. Apart from The Gruffalo and the like, I found it really hard purchasing good children's poetry.
Totally adorable, Sandra and had I not exhausted my sixes, one would have been yours.
Kindest of regards,
Julie :-)

Thank you so much, Julie, I'm so pleased you liked this poem. And not to worry about a 6, your words say so much more! I was worried about my stories all being rhymed until I saw Gruffalo, it seems children's poetry is coming back. :) Thank you again, Julie. xsx Sandra

This poetry is a fun read. The rhymes are nicely placed
and not forced. It uses non-confusing language making
it easy to read and comprehend. It held my interest from
start to finish (not all poetry does). Thank Your for
your creation.

This skillfully-written, delightful story effectively conveys the theme that tolerance and inclusion of those
who are different is desirable. Excellent

Hi Sandra
This is brilliant! Such an engaging story written with excellent rhyme and rhythm (as always). I can just imagine this with animation - children would love it! I can hardly find a favourite stanza as it's all so good, but I thought it amusing to read of little Cedric becoming ambidextrous -
"Millie the Mole had shown him how to draw,
Not just with one hand, but two, three, and four!"
Thanks for sharing such a lovely write :)
Bless you!
Christine

Sandra, another wonderful story poem about your
hedgerow critters. I guess you are going to have

Thank you, Jude, I am really pleased you enjoyed it. This is the 3rd book, the 2nd is waiting to be illustrated. I need 2 more stories to complete this one. I see you are a published author, I am going to have a look. Thank you, again! xsx Sandra

I am a self-published author. It is fun to have books to share. I give them to people at church who are going through difficulties. I don't sell very many. I also have written books for my grandchildren. I still have one more plus I need to do a book for my daughter about my granddog. Judy

I have been thinking of going down that road, as most publishers now are either not taking on new authors or they are doing what mine did, a sort of partnership, where they put in some and you put in the rest. I will have to find out how to self-publish. Well done you, for doing it! xsx

I did it through createspace.com and the books are shown on amazon. Judy
