I am so sorry for the loss of your brother. Thank God the murderer was caught and is now in prison. Your poem is beautiful and your message very important. Hugs, Lou

AnnieDawn,
I feel for you and your family to have suffered such a huge loss. I can't even imagine how awful that must be.
Good rhyming couplets that convey the essence of your pain, and invoke emotion in the reader.
I especially liked your last line ... "He is free from all his pain". That is a nice thought for you and your family to hang on to.
Well done!
Spag: In your title "Brothers Time" should read Brother's Time. And in the 4th stanza "full of live" should read full of life.
Regardless, a very good poem.

This is an age old question I too have asked and you have to believe. I lost my twin sons and their wives to a car train accident their age 26. Left three gramdbaboes--3 months, three years, five years. I hated God for years.
Good writing

This is a very meaningful poem. Death is often difficult to explain. I like the way you express your theme. I feel the tone is appropriate to the subject matter. The picture is a good choice.

What a sad and sobering write. I could feel the devastation whilst reading the lines and I'm sure as you wrote this, your eyes were filled with tears and unimaginable sadness and grief.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Annie.

This is a nice poem, written in the free verse style in couplets with good rhythm, about the author's brother. In the fourth couplet, should be "life" not "live". Nice poem.

A prayer for his soul. Thank God they found the perpetrator. Here in our country, there are so many unsolved cases and the worst thing is, we got a terrible justice system. Victims always look forward for positive results, yet there are none.

The pain is palpable as you ask these tough questions, and it's something I can relate to very much. I lost my younger brother in 2007.
