How lovely this is! The willow is a favorite tree of mine, having grown up climbing and hiding in them. She does sleep until the wind blows and then she dances and dances!

Cool imagery...and if I were a tree I would want to be a willow...being short in stature I have always wanted to be graceful and willowy...lol
I love the awaken image
Well written
God bless

Faye, your poem and artwork complement each other perfectly
Your poem is in excellent 5/7/5 syllable count
effective use of personification of the tree as a sleeping green goddess awakened by a strong breeze
beautiful scene with good appeal to the senses

Excellent 5-7-5. The count is there. The message could not be any better. Wish I could get a weeping or pussy willow to grow on my place. Luck to you in the contest.

Maybe it is fair and reasonable to compare a tree to a goddess. For all the blessings it bestows, the comparison is fitting. Trees provide so many things. From the moment it starts to grow, the wonder already starts.
And then to maturity - all the way providing shade, cool, maybe fruits and home to other creatures.
Joyce Kilmer was so right in his praise for "Trees."

Lovely. A weeping willow certainly deserves the moniker of Green Goddess. The are beautiful trees.
Artwork is very nice and your words are visual. A nice entry for the contest. Best of luck. AT=/

Words and picture work in harmony. It doesn't take a lot of wind to start the willow to trembling. Peaceful to look at. Best wishes with your entry.

A really good 5-7-5 entry in this contest! I like this unique short poem, in this limiting poetic form! The dialogue in this this poem is imaginative and clever! The artwork serves to embellish the poem! Well done, good luck, blessings, Roy.
