The story of your survival is truly amazing. I do not, however, see you as a terrible sinner. It seems, from this report of events, that many people in your family were terrible sinners and you were lucky to have survived.
I'm happy for you that you ended up where you did and found real love and happiness, in addition to your salvation.

A very well-written heartfelt story. It must be painful to know that your parents don't care much about your welfare and it is a kind of neglect and abuse of the highest leve.l

This is a beautiful story about dark circumstances that did to keep you down because you found faith in God's Son who paid for all the wrongs humans have ever committed. It is a heartfelt recording of dire events and our God who loves us forever. I like the combination of both prose and poetry. xoxo Janet

Thanks again for sharing your testimony. What a great courage it took to follow through and saving the life of your son. And how wonderful that you got to meet him much later!

I am so sorry for all the heartache you had to endure as a child and young adult. Everyone deserve parents who love them, but not all get them. I have no doubt God had his hand on you all your life and though painful these things made you into the incredible woman you no doubt are today. Well done Patricia. Rox

Thank you for sharing your very personal story. I admired your "thorns" and "roses" metaphors and was grateful to learn you felt love in the special home for unwed mothers. I admired your emotional, rhymed poem about adoption, and your use of "vessel" is very effective in your second poem as well. Warm regards- Joan

The matter of fact in which you recount your trials and tribulations punctuated with heartfelt poetry, deserve six stars.
It's wonderful that this painful journey brought you into the arms of God.

An interesting blend of poetry and prose in such a poignantly painful story. Explaining it without emotion seems to add to the harshness of the story. It is interesting that you chose to stay with your mom again even after she tried to kill you. I did wonder what was happening there and presume it must have been through lack of funds to live anywhere else. So often in life abused children and spouses find themselves in that kind of financial trap keeping them in the line of fire. Looking forward to hearing about the Wind beneath your Wings.

Patricia your story is heartfelt and has haunted you all your life, but you gave life and stood up to those around you. You had courage to do the right thing and the Lord has given you hope and also shone his tooth on you and now you enjoy a wonderful life with your daughters. Your memories are sad, but you also had a wonderful marriage and years of happiness too, love Dolly x
