What a lovely, double birthday present to your wife--flowers and a poem. I prefer a living plant that your relatives sent, since it lasts much longer than cut flowers. It looks like it found a good home in your living room with other plants in streaming light. I enjoyed your rhymed quatrains and her "cherished" prizes. May they "drink" to her good health and many happy returns- Joan

Thank you Joan. They are lasting and look just like little roses.

Pretty flowers. I like the odd ones forget the roses.
Nice little write for the flowers given. They and I appreciated it.

These begonias are very pretty;
"Brithday Begonias"--I think you mean "Birthday";
A well-crafted dedication to the floral beauty;
A gift of flowers, always appropriate for birthdays, or simply to brighten one's day.
Happy Belated birthday to Karen! Your poem could easily be included as a birthday present.

This work felt so natural; as if a friend were sharing the story of the begonias and the picture with me over tea in the morning. Just a warm stringing of words that left me, the reader, smiling. I enjoy nature poems especially those with built in meaning! Nice work on this poem/photo.

Thank you Naud1. It so nice to share, especially over a nice cup of tea.

Your poem is as much of a gift as the flowers themselves! What a very fine picture you have taken of them, in their pride of place on the window sill, drinking their fill both of water and of sunshine.
