Exceptional

Hi. I share your philosophy with additions. Those who would tell us everything- how to speak, how to think, what vehicle to drive, what kind of house to live in, what foods to eat and how to earn, spend and invest our money are everywhere. They have increasingly had their way in our nation and the results are the destruction of the African-American family, an unchanging poverty rate and trillions spent fruitlessly. Trillions of dollars that have been borrowed. Imagine a U. S. with a less intrusive EPA, fewer lawsuits, more self reliance and a stronger and growing economy.
I've written a book and would welcome your comments. My e-mail is boycerobbins@earthlink.net. I'd love to send it to you. It is set in a prison and your insight would be invaluable. We need more commentaries like yours. Whether or not you decide to read my writing, keep up the good work.

The essay is interesting and address an important issue. While reading your advice, I was thinking about how Jane Foda and her cronies protested the war in Vet Naham and then came over and associated with the enemy, causing American lives. I watched Bill Clinton and his communist ideas run to Canada, while burning his draft card. They elected him President. Now his communist wife wishes to be our commanding chief after causing 4 deaths in Bengazzie. Protest what?

Seems to me there are a lot of people out there joining a protest without even knowing what it is about. I don't get it.
Your right, you can't trust the media, they report what they want to. I agree there should be a definite purpose in what you plan to accomplish.

You made your point well. Blessings, LaVonne

I wish I had a six for the last few lines alone. My son in law is a policeman he is tall red headed man in Dekalb county Atlanta. He is not respected. When two policemen were shot in Dekalb recently It was a worry for us. This year has been a year of protests and something worse I fear
God bless and thanks

Hi lancellot,

You sum up very well all the reasons I have never been a 'demontsrator' or 'protestor' on any campaign. Far too many I have witnessed down the years have been 'rentamob' driven, or protesting something on minimal knowledge and purely on 'emotive' drive. On one occasion I recall hearing some idiot babbling about how 'facts don't matter in some things - only the gut feeling that it is wrong counts'.

Well stated, most of these 'protest' movements are a waste of time, space and money. They achieve nothing except to cause massive inconveince and damage to property.

Patrick

Very well stated. You have made a good case.

I think it is relevant to point out that there is a new kind of protester these days. They are either paid, fed, given T-shirts or Ballcaps, or all of the a fore mentioned. Professional protest/demonstration organizers are a new breed of entrepreneur. They are compensated by special interest groups and recruit unsuspecting college students or gang members to 'round up' demonstrators for profit. A local 'fracking demonstrator,' near where I live, was interviewed and hadn't a clue what he was supporting. He was told to say "I'm here to support the cause" and mentioned that someone had given him a T-shirt, ballcap, and a donut for participating. So much for demonstrations against capitalism!

To protest is a right, but to burn others property as a protest is not a right, it is a crime plain and simple. To protest is a right, but to kill another person because you are upset is a crime, it is called murder. Patricia

I thought this was an interesting piece which included a couple of recurring FS themes - 1. Not even the remotest possibility exists that any American policeman could ever do any wrong whetever. 2. No protest can ever be justified, sensible or effective.
This I find utterly astonishing, not to mention depressing. But, of course, it has nothing whatever to do with literary criticism, and so does not affect in any way, the rating.

Two typos:
'by [members] of the Grand Juries in those cases'
'and they [have] been heavily criticized by mainstream politicians and the media'

Now I am relieved that there are still good Americans who still use logical analysis and rational thinking in analyzing events happening around them. I am not American but I religiously follow what is happening in America in the light of the prophecies in the end days of the world. You are in the right track, don't ever trust CNN, NBC or MSNBc, for these news media are in the payroll of Illuminati deceivers and most of them are leftist-communist leaning reporters who don't believe in God. They serve a Liar to deceive and hide the real truth. I definitely love your post, hope you can write more.
