Thanks a bunch, Begin Again. I wanted it to feel like one of those old Tales From the Crypt tales from comic books. Of course, many aren't familiar with EC Comics but do know the HBO series that was based on those stories.
I appreciate your review, and generous rating too. Thanks again!

Hi Dean
Another creepy crawly write.
This is a good tale
to give someone the chills.
It is a good feed for paranoia. The narration is good .
The character development
is very good.
The scenes are clearly
described.
Over all it is a gruesomely good write.

Another grisly tale from the perspective of a twisted mind. As I read this, I was reminded that this story might have been ripped right out of the headlines. There's so much (too much) of this type of behavior happening in our world.)
What's worse is that many NCR (Not Criminally Responsible) folks don't need to escape from their institutions, they're RELEASED once they are on a regimen of anti-psychotic medications.
The collectables stuffed into the wall in the institution seemed odd to my eye, though, Dean. How would she have been able to get them there, being as she would have been through the legal mills of frisking and strip searches before going into the looney bin. Just saying...
Otherwise, perfectly creepy.
Rose.

I know, it's nuts isn't it, Rose? I try and tell that very same thing to people and they act like I'm crazy...no pun intended.
My intent as I was writing this tiny tale was that she could get out at any time she wished, and she dug them up herself, then brought them back to the asylum and stuffed them into the cubby hole she'd made. Of course, with micro and flash fiction, you leave a lot open for interpretation -- both good and bad.

Thanks for having a go at this one, Rose. I sincerely appreciate your comments. ~Dean

Aha...... Unfortunately, getting out on day passes is also common-place. We have a few cases like that up here. The goody-two-shoe folks insisting that once on their meds, these mentally deranged people are perfectly harmless... R.

Yeah, well, I for one wouldn't care to risk being too close to one...if you know what I mean, lol... ;)

A grisly intrusion into the demented mind of a murderous fiend controlled by voices fancied to be coming from God. They definitely got the finger as he succeeded in escaping. More of your ghastly goings on.

Thanks, Tom. Actually my protagonist was a female malefactor, but whose splittin' hairs here? Oh, wait a second...she was, wasn't she...and heads, too...heh-heh.

I appreciate you having a look at it. ~Dean

I think you have an inner desire to be the Marquis de Sade ( and others), so much of terror and insanity of the characters in your writing at times.

All emotions, fear included, should spark creativity in people I believe, Alan. I'm really a very meek and mild mannered guy. I'll give someone I love the very shirt off my back if they need one. However, if I don't like you, well... those folks know who they are and stay away.

I enjoy taking an ordinary, everyday situation and doing my best to spin it upside down, on it's proverbial head, so to speak. I write about what frightens me the most personally -- death, infidelity, torture, insanity, etc. -- then incorporate those feelings into my stories. If you were to meet up with me on the street, you'd think I wrote children's poetry and prose, lol.

Thanks for the comments and exceptional feedback and six star rating. As always, all are sincerely appreciated. ~Dean

Very bloody, very gruesome, but still I read every word, and enjoyed Juliette's story. Heh - heh - heh it was a great ending too with the bag of little treasures. Good read Dean.

I'm not ashamed to tell you I was alarmed by "the finger" at the end of your charming tiny tale. But, hey, if God tells you to do something, well, are you gonna say no? Bwahahahaha

Excellent tale, Dean!

Dean;
-You are spectacular gruesome writer that can frightened the daylights out of a priest.
-In this particular story, you have a girl who took care of her family by chopping them up in pieces. Found psychiatrically unstable, she was admitted to a psychiatric ward was she had planned and escaped by killing a guard who was enticed by her sexual looks and his sexual desires. How she did it was most gruesome where she put them in a bag all chopped up.
-Your writing is a cross between Edgar Allan Poe and Stephen King but I think you have a masterful style all to your own.
-Thank you for sharing and posting this Dean and may the good Lord be with you always my friend.
Alex
