It's pretty good, including western and first nation spiritual and bringing them together. I'm just wondering since I just read this one, could you tell me what it is about?

Hi, Jarod. The basic premise is that a University Professor seeks out the advice of a Mexican shaman who is reputed to have extensive knowledge of altered states. Doctor Morales is planning to write a book about ways to treat delusional personality disorders, which is his area of expertise.

Thanks for stopping by--hope that helps.

Thanks so much! It's great to know I'm learning how to effectively use details to deepen my story. I can tell you that's been a journey for sure as it was not my strong point when I started out on FanStory.

I really appreciate both your support and encouragement, Neonewman.

My pleasure Bev! My journey here has been as equally fulfilling. The depth of a story can bring the viewer in and keep him/her from coming up from air.

Superb post in every way. Your writing never ever fails to make me blush with envy. Fantastic work Bev. This paragraph, all by itself, merits the little gold FS cross:

"I know and accept any of my actions has the potential to be my final one. Spirit does not negotiate on this matter. So, I walk on the earth with a harmonious intent. In turn, the Mother speaks to me just as she did to you back there. This time, I was able to save you from being consumed by your morbidity. But I assure you, until you stop fighting your fate--the fate of every living creature--and learn to accept death as an advisor, you will pass away from something stupid like cancer."

Absolutely brilliant. I got chills. Love Pasquale. I've no doubt he exists, and is speaking through you, my friend. Don't make us wait so long for the next one... please!!!

Av, thank you for your beautiful review. I, in turn, am blushing.

I promise to get the next one out in a more timely fashion. I'm so glad you love Pasquale. He's someone I would fallow to the ends of the earth. I just hope our brilliant scientist seizes his opportunity.

Thank you seems hardly adequate for your generosity and support, Av.

A very interesting episode episode Bev, poor old Motales wants to go back from whence he came but the mysterious Pasquale won't allow him to do any such thing, He sees the Shaman as some young warrior at one stage, he tells Morales. he might die of something mudane as cancer or some such. Well done, my friend. Good scribing, blessings.Roy

I was just going to check how many messages I had and not review anything tonight, but I saw you had posted the next chapter and could not resist reading it.

This is amazing writing, Bev. This chapter is so full of action. The imagery is fantastic, especially the shape shifting of Pasquale. I felt like I was there with the Shaman in the heat and the dust. The doctor is being pushed beyond his physical, emotional and intellectual limits. The attack by the apparent prehistoric bird came right out of nowhere and left a startling impression. I bet a lot more surprises are in store. You explore the gamut of emotions from fear, to defiance, to confusion, to curiosity in such a short space of time and with such precision. There is not a wasted word in this chapter. You nailed it and then some!

I am glad I stayed up late to read this. I look forward to the next chapter!

Hi, Debi. Thank you so much for this wonderful review. I'm so glad you liked the chapter. I know it took me a while to get it together, but my head was not in the right place until just a day or so ago. Then I knew I was ready to finish it.

I really appreciate you hanging in there with this story. Your insights and encouragement mean a lot to me.

Hi, Bev

= Once again, a great chapter.
= You have such a knack for details and establishing circumstance.
= Love the last line ----> Feeling emboldened like a mouse beyond the reach of the wolf, I wondered: If death stalked me, what face would it wear?
= Great job, my friend.

*Cheers & Blessings...*

Wow, Bev, this has to be the nominee for novel of the month--or whatever they call it. Your writing sparkled, your images were so wedded to language they seemed to float off the page. Some exquisite creative work here.
