The story brings us into the core problem immediately and creates empathy for both Cody and the guardian. Cody's tortured sleep and reason for it brings out the readers' collective disgust with what has apparently brought the boy to this point. One feels for the nameless guardian as well, having to deal with a horror that can't simply be removed. I don't know that I'm compelled to read more, since the topic, albeit therapeutic for anyone touched by this evil, creates more negative feelings than I'd care to immerse myself in. I'd give it another chapter if I thought that we had enough causality to push us through what I hope would be dealing with Cody's life going forward.

Appreciate the review. Have to get through the bad part to get to the point you wish to be at. I do invite you to at least read Nightmares - Part Three: Cody's future. (Which will be posted no later than tomorrow morning). These three chapters are intended as the basis for Cody and his guardian's relationship. The story moves on from there.

Perfectly real in what the boy might say in way of what happened.
Interresting and it kept me intrigued as I read.
Did not notice any problems as I was reading too fast to see what happened
