It is time for strawberries! Someone brought me some fresh strawberries that were really delicious, and the supermarket has been having good strawberries, not the sour, hard ones that they sometimes have. That is certainly an appealing picture. Abundantly and April--nice sound. I prefer preserves to jam, but either way, it's good. This one really has sensory appeal. judi

You're welcome. There's an orchard close to us. I just may have to go and buy some fresh strawberries. judi

This is a perfect haiku - there is nothing more you could do to make it better! So simple it speaks clearly yet hints at homemade jam to come..

Hi GBR,
what a contrast from scary spiders. I like this one and the last line is so scrummy.
I am now off to make a jam butty.
Great poem.

The reference to strawberry jam is very clever and makes me want some strawberry jam and toast. The imagery of strawberries is vivid and the harvesting of the fruit is comforting in its annual routine.

Oh yum, a haiku good enough to eat, nicely worded and your usual wonderful presentation. My grandma used to make jam from her strawberries and it was delicious. Thank you for sharing.
Bless you
John

Thank you very much, John. You are very kind and I enjoy your reviews, it's always good to see you. I hope you are all having good weather in England. California was sunny but not too hot today. :)
