I think this poem was interesting in that it speaks of the fate of those who do not believe in the Grace of Christ, and the question of whether they will be saved. Jesus once said something to the effect that many who profess to believe in him will not gain entry to heaven, while many who do not seem to know him, will be allowed in. I take it to mean that the Father makes Jesus the judge; He paid the sacrifice, it is His blood which redeems us, and He looks into each heart and soul for the love within. If you love others, then you love Him, and He will grant you His grace. estory

Hi, Jay. No wonder you won that contest, my friend. This poem is spot on topic and is very well crafted. I noticed it says you are in contest again???? How can you enter the same poem twice? Or am I missing something. LOL Bless you, Bob

I guess the only sure way is if we have a sin-bearer, otherwise Jesus died for no reason, I know Heaven's standard is perfection, so there's a dilemma for God, if he lets us in, Then Heaven becomes imperfect and we may as well stay here. Because we ruin Heaven. But well done, good post, well done, blessjngs, Roy

Very nice rhyme in this well written poem Jaybird. We do wonder and think about the Nature of God. You are right - we do need one faith and one God.

Well done.
Blessings
Janet

This is a dream that would stay with you and give you a lot to think about.
You would wonder if the dream was God's way of sending you a message. Or possibly represent your own questions. I like the story that it tells and that it is unresolved at the end. The second and third lines of the fourth stanza are especially powerful.

Hello Jaybird,
I don't think God plays favorites,
but is interested in all mankind, all His creations.
And I think He judges by all deeds,
how we treat the Earth, His creation, and each other.
An excellent rhymed poem and plea for brotherhood.
Well done
Robert

You have so aptly written about something that many people wonder. According to the Bible, we are not saved by works, if that helps you any. There are plenty of moral people that don't believe in God. Many atheist are morel but they don't believe in any God at all. I digress... This was wonderful and I can see why it won a contest earlier!

I admire both the structure of this poem and what you have to say about the different religions. Are these people your "nature" element? If so I am not sure whether that will be acceptable to the comittee. The contest would seem to require a nature element. Still, if they don't like it they usualy allow an opportunity for you to make changes. I certainly would do nothing at this point apart from crossing your fingers.
