This is a really powerful poem that tugs at the heartstrings. It captivated my attention from the beginning to the very last word. The photo combined with the red colored verse really brings the emotion of the poem to life. REALLY REALLY GREAT JOB !!!

Well done. my friend. I am glad you have enjoyed some of Basho's fine work. You have creatively used rain to make a political statement. Well written, my friend~Debbie

I am pleased that you were inspired to create a haibun. I admired the revelation in the verse that the soulmate had died. Your satori is quite poignant. Well done- Joan

Stunning from go to whoa. The prosimetric is awesome. Concose, as the form demands, but with a haunting flow that draws the reader to the haiku. Truly in awe of this. Cheers - DJ

I have been reading several of these lately, and after reading yours, I finally 'get' the idea of a haibun poem. This is beautifully tragic and your well chosen words make me feel. When a writer can make me 'feel;' , I consider that success. Well done Sister Ninja!

Hello, Little sister ninja,
I wish you would have been here today. I had to be rushed to the hospital for a severe attack due to medicine interaction. It was horrifying and I thought I was going to die.
Thank you for the kind words about the haibun and for the awesome six stars. I love you,, Sister Ninja :)

I would have SO been there if I lived closer!! Glad you are safe now.You are NOT allowed to die! It is against the sister ninja SOG's and Ninja Protocol. LOL- just saying... Be safe- and get better Friend.
I love you too (big hug)

You got that right Sis! haha

This is so powerful, and the reader can easily visualize the scene. It's a shame when news of a death has to be delivered. The messengers are sad when they have to do it, too. The questions asked seem quite logical and the word choices are dramatic. The concluding Haiku adds to the drama. It states in brief form what the situation is and the emotional impact it has. Gypsy, I don't know if others feel this way, but I had my speaker on and when I heard the sounds of the rain, it was distracting. I did turn the sound off to concentrate on the haibun. judi

Okay, Judi, I will check the music. When I posted it it was very soft low music but something they get loud after. I am sorry for the distraction.
Thank you for the lovely review,

Your words certainly convey the emotions of one who has lost somebody they loved.
Light and bright one moment, then darkness and despair.
Great artwork and sound effects to match,
:) Annette

Gypsy, this is very well done with striking presentation and potent content. Sadly it happens too often. These lines are excellent:
"A second ago the world was perfect. The sun was out and the sky was clear, not a cloud in sight. Now all's changed..."
