Loved this delightful take on "moonshine". So clever! The illustration is wonderful as well. It mirrors the joy and the brightness of the sunny day- and the moonshine, oh my! Nice work.

Thank you so much, Cynthia1, for taking time to read my little, silly poem. It's hard for even me to imagine how I started off writing about the sun and the moon, and ended up sidetracked on moonshine. LOL! Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)

so darling and comedic. You do a great job of making this three line poem have fun and humor and that is not easy to do . Thank you for that. Moonshine and sunshine will never feel the same.

Thank you so much, JusyLee72, for taking time to read my poem. It's even hard for me to imagine how I started off writing about the sun and the moon, and ended up sidetracked on moonshine. LOL! I can hardly thank you enough for that one sentence that will make your review so memorable to me. "Moonshine and sunshine will never be the same." You've put a bigger smile on my face than the one I intended for you. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)

LOL! This surpasses the contest requirements since you have covered both the sun and the moon in the allotted syllables. I loved the approach as nobody else went for humor and this is truly a nice break in between all the serious reads. You took a risk and I hope it pays off for you. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

The drink certainly has its statement of feeling its rising sun so to speak within you. Ya-hoo effect. I don't think this write presented state captures thought; yet holds items for stir.

It's even hard for me to imagine how I started out writing about the sun and the moon, and ended up sidetracked on moonshine. But of course, I won't say it hasn't happen before. Thank you so much for taking time to read my poem. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)

This work has reached the exceptional level

I thought your syllable count was off with the second line, so, I went to see Webster, nope. It was spot on, my mid Georgia speak was kicking in. Excellent 5-7-5 with the nature topic and a play on words to boot. Best of all, a good laugh. Best wishes with the contest.

That syllable count played with me, too, Eric. I changed it back and forth for a while. Thank you so much for taking time to read my poem. Your kind words and extra special six-star review are greatly appreciated; but most all, I'm glad whenever I can give someone a reason to laugh or smile and maybe lighten their mind's load for a bit. Us southern boys might know a little more about moonshine than most. I'm happy you like it. :-)

Thank you so much, William Ross, for taking time to read my poem. I just can't for the life of my figure out why us southern boys can get to talking about the sun and the moon, and then end up thinking about moonshine. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Now if it wasn't for the picture, I might have taken this as romantic, so it fits the contest requirements with a fun double entendre - clever satori. Best of luck!

Thank you so much, Dawn, for taking time to read my poem. You know, you probably don't realize that you have played a big part in me piddling around with even these simpler forms of poetry, because when I started reading your poems every day, along with a few others, I had never read a piece of poetry in my life. And truthfully, never thought I wanted to. But the more I read, the more little things stuck in my head that, I think have even helped my prose too. I explained when I stopped reading your daily posts that I just couldn't keep up with all the prose and poems, which was and is true, but now I'm starting to want to learn more about it. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)

You're very welcome. (but now, of course, I want to know who this is)! I hope you'll let me know when the contest is over. :)

There is an easy way to find out who this is, but of course, I can't say and break the rules. LOL!

I loved the witty and creativity of this. The climax to the poem is brilliant, with its play on the word 'moonshine' to mean liquor. A wonderfully funny celebration of the effects of alcohol. This must do well in the competition, if there is any justice. Nigel.

Thank you so much, Nigel, for taking time to read my poem. It's hard to imagine why I would be thinking about the sun and the moon and end up writing about moonshine. LOL! Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)
