This is a wonderful story and I'm assuming that lovely woman in the photo is yourself. Written well, clear and interesting for the reader. Nicely done. Marilyn

Nice job ...on the story AND the life. Learning a second language is quite difficult, I think and I am sure it will be useful for the kids. Best of luck in the contest and the writing.

What a lovely, uplifting, piece of flash fiction. This is obviously written from the heart and your contentment shines through.

I think the story would have had better balance if you had included an aspect of disappointment or sadness since a touch of pathos can accentuate the brightness of the positive side of your life story. But then, since this was intended to be a factual piece, you may not have suffered much negativity in your life. If so, count yourself very lucky.

I enjoyed reading this.

BTW, reading this has enticed me to Bourton on the Water - I don't live that far away from it. Thank you.

Well, my life has for the most been blessed. There was a very dark episode though that you can read in my portfolio in a story called Little Iris Gets Sick.
    Thanks for your review.
And do go to Bourton, it's worth a visit.

Well we have two things in common we both live in England and we're both English teachers. My Spanish starts and ends with no entiendo (spelling!!). I love your passion of English, I love the structure of the language too. Great picture of you and a nice concise piece on your life. Nice.

I don't live in England. I wish I did! I go there in the summer, but I live in Madrid.
    Thanks for your review.

You've done a great job of sharing a lifetime in such few words. It's easy to relate to the pride you feel in your children. Good luck in your writing goals.

What a beautiful picture and what a great life. You are a devoted, life time learner and I enjoyed your story. Being bi lingual will be such a gift to your children. Thank you for writing.
