Enjoyable poem to read. The alliteration of C-words in the first verse stand out to me. I'd like to add an s to ground just for rhyming reasons. There are a few lines that seem forced on the rhymes like decomposed/exposed. However, the poem works together well. Lovely artwork choice with all those bright colors. Good author notes.

Spring is always welcome after the cold winter months, we cannot wait when everything is green again and the flowers too bloom while the temperatures rise.

We're getting winter storm warning advisories for the weekend, so I'm already rooting for Spring to come early. Thanks for sharing my poem.

You sound like me-always glad to get rid of winter!. This is well written with an original approach. Best of luck in the voting booth with this little wonder.

A well-written contest entry. The words flowed well line to line combining and forming the message of the poem for the reader. I think you did well completing the challenge of the contest.

I have read all the entries for the "Poem of Spring" contest and, in my opinion, all of them, including yours, have great form, fit and function. The variety of styles is wonderful to see. It was very difficult to vote for me. I really love the contests when I have that problem. Congratulations on a wonderful poem.

This poem is very descriptive, I like the rhyme scheme that you chose... It seems to go with the lines of your poem.... Each stanza has its own flavor. You have done well and expressed the beauty of spring vividly.

We haven't even had winter yet. Why is Fanstory so interested in skipping this season. Can they wait until I've made my first snowman?

I enjoyed your spring poem. As winter begins, it's nice to remember that it will end and spring will come back, and your imagery is a good reminder of that.

Spring at any price! Have just finished cleaning out the gutter crud in time for the bushfire season. Some delightful imagery in this - not least the infant earthworms!

Winter hasn't hit yet, or at least here where I live, and I already yearn for spring.
Terrific imagery and rhymes make this an easy and enjoyable poem to read.
"I yearn to sink hard heels in softened ground,
see blades of sprouting grass and jonquil shoots'
Really good here.
Nice Job!
Michael
