This 5-7-5 poem about a pet, Rescued, tells a story in its few words and also leaves us with the true meaning of the title, Rescued. Nice.

It is true. It's a case of who rescued who/whom. Each animal that comes into our lives is a gift. All of mine are always rescues. There are so many who need homes. "Her love rescued us." Marilyn

Kitties choose you all the time. She was just hanging out at the shelter waiting for the right person--YOU.
Good job on the criteria of the contest.
Best wishes. [You are already a winner for rescuing helpless babies]. Jan

Yes indeed, the lost and the homeless reward us in so many ways when we open our hearts and homes to them. I keep looking at the photo and thinking about what the little cat is dreaming about. Just recently we adopted two shelter cats after the death of our 8year old rabbit, and they both have taken to home life with rapturous enthusiasm. They sleep on our beds, play chasey out in the back garden, and have a wonderful time entertaining us with their (naughty) endearing personalities. Your little fur baby is lucky to have been chosen by you, but you are wise to note that the love she bestows upon you is a true blessing. cheers Cass

Thank you for your kind comments. It is so rewarding to take in animals who can pay us back in so many ways. Just the joy of seeing them play is a gift. I appreciate your reading and reviewing.

What a great little poem! Nice twist at the end...the pet rescues the owner. I think that is indeed true sometimes.
Lovely visually as well.
My only comment for revision
the (...by love) above the title does seem to work, a little confusing.
Maybe it should be
By love...
Rescued
Or
Perhaps just rename the poem:
Rescued (by love)
Nice work overall:)
Thank you for sharing.

It has a good taletelling, reasoned event, free flow of thoughts, balanced beginning and ending, love inspiration and depiction of a pet rescue; I liked and enjoyed the read.
