G'day Padna.
I'm back for another read. This is coming along very well.
"You know," Koko said, "I'm surprised at how well the cave turned out." (So am I, Ma'am.)
" It wasn't my choice to make this trip, but I accept the need for it. The cave is great." (Well, thank you... I think.)
"Let's hope this is the only company we get today," Sani said." (Gulp!)
"Archie nodded as he bit off a piece of dried lamb." (Where the flippin' heck did he get dried lamb? Hahahaha!)
"Twins? Most likely... identical?" (Apart from their hair lol.)
"The cover bore an emblazoned image of a golden hawk. Its wings outstretched as though in flight. A rat clutched in one claw, the other, a hare. In the background, a full moon glowed, illuminating a valley below. A gorge silhouetted the other nine animals of the other Hokee houses." (There is some beautiful imagery in this paragraph. Wonderful.)
"Chapter 4: Donkey House" (Yep, that's where I'd be put.)
"I wouldn't be surprised. Why don't you scoot over and look with me?" Archie held the book up as a taunt. "I promise to be a good boy." (That's the same line I used on the princess! Except I was reading about scorpion fritters.)
"In order to repair generations of poor breeding and bad choices, my colleagues and I have taken on a task with possible heroic ramifications. In the process, we have made a discovery that may change the world as we know it." (Crikey! Pickle my grandmother! That is one scary end to a chapter, Padna, but I love the shock value.)
Great job, once again.
Cheers Fez

You are so funny! Thanks for the stary review!
I wonder what house they'd put me in?? Wasn't one for cows...definitely not tarantula! I think you would switch houses on a regular basis to keep from getting bored. haha
Hold the thought about the scorpions...
Take care, and Kumusta to my favorite Kwalas
Oh, and happy getting close to your Birthday!

Ah, the plot thickens and enemies are getting comfortable together as they rest before the next big battle. Now this book may have many secrets to reveal and it looks like some of them won't be so nice.

I knew that there was much more evil being perpetrated with all of this "wonderful" project. Now we can all see the whole idea behind the leaders plans. Good lead-in to the next part.

Thank you so much. There have been way too many groups of people who have treated other cultures as less than human, and not just Hitler, but, him too.
Thanks for another review!!

The continuing saga is very interesting, and you've done a good job of weaving the characters together and still have their separate identities. Wouldn't it be great if we could find such a book? Maybe the complexities of life would be explained, and some of the turmoil in the world could be quelled.
I like the way you draw with your alliterations. I can 'see' the characters, and though you are weaving the story-the actual tale is told through the thoughts and words of your creations.
Thank you for sharing,

You have a great imagination. Seems that this is sort of based on aboriginal tribes? or Native Americans? It seems very complex and I want to tell you to just enjoy it! :)

Thank you so much. It seems a bit to be heading that way, but it goes a completely different direction. Thanks for looking into the story!

Nicely done chapter, Rhonda. I didn't find any Spag. I'm really getting into your premise. It fascinates me, by not only the plausibility of it, but perhaps a growing necessity. We are definitely not as resilient as we used to be. Now, I want Archie to read more of that book. Well done! I'm out of sixes.
Take care,
Russell

I bet I can guess who wrote this book, made this plan, started this dystopia......
Good story, as usual. I'm really glad Ayala understands these folks better and is coming around to their way of thinking. She is, right?
Keep writing, I'll keep reading. I'm really enjoying it.

Yes, she is going to come around, but she'll got a shock to work her way through first.
Thanks for reading and keeping up,

You're right, and that's what the hidden theme is to this story. Thanks for reviewing, and catching the meaning.
