Thank you for your positive feedback!

A very well-written poem. The use of song titles to tell a love story in poem form. I usually do that in letters to a lover format. Great dong titles and great rhyming to complete the whole picture.

this is a well told story using the song lyrics to move it along. I think this entry in the Song-title poem should do well. You used the lyrics in a way that they were part of the tale. Good luck in the contest,

Jesus, is it really the year 2525!?!
Good Lord, I must have really overslept!
I doubt that I missed very much excitement, however.
Although I would like to know, have we colonized Mars or the moon yet?
If so, are they offering to take volunteers on a one-way trip there?
Just curious...
Good luck to you in the contest.

Well, I couldn't find a song about 2017...so I stretched it a bit.
A fun challenge - never tried it before.
And no, we haven't quite colonized - or destroyed the moon or Mars yet.
Give it time...we're doing a job on this planet so far.
Thanks for the read and review.

I can hardly wait to go and contribute to the ruination of those heavenly bodies myself.
You're more than welcome.

What a fun contest. You did an excellent job and WOW! 48 years of married bliss. You two are an inspiration to us all, well to me anyway. I hope that me and my husband could be together that long. Yes, it does take survival. I hope you do very well in the contest. You should print this poem, frame it and give it to your spouse.

Hi,
This poem indeed sounded like a song. It was sweet and yet entertaining, too. Good rhyming, flow, and I liked the story very much. It's great to know that you two are still together and happy.
Only the Strong Survive -- good final line. Indeed, a marriage has its ups and downs.
