What a calming pastime this can be in a hectic world.
You have adhered to the style well and depicted the fish in the water well.
The distinctive colour is a burst of red in a sea of green.

I enjoyed reading your entheree poem "Red Carp". All the liners and syllables were correct and you chose a lovely picture for your poem.
Best of luck in this contest

I thoroughly enjoyed what I would describe as a very playful work.
It is lovely to watch these creatures bustle about chasing food and imaginary shadows. Who could refrain from smiling at such beauty
hugs

Hi DD,
You're still writing wonderful poetry. I'm getting worse so I don't know how much longer I'll be on here. I'm having a terrible time writing and spelling words lately. Darn.

Hi DD,
I am trying to keep on writing poetry but it is not like it used to be. It takes me a long time to write something, then I get a headache. Kat
-
One step at a time Kat. Take a moment if you start getting headaches and come back to your writing when you are feeling better. There is no rush. DDx

That's what I do, but nothing seems to help me. I'm getting off here now and hope my headache goes away. Kat

This is such a beautiful Etheree, the best I've read. It has a 'Japanese' feel to it, leaving me with a lovely sense of tranquility. Just wonderful, blessings...

This is a very good contest entry. You will do well. It's interesting to think of the carp playing hide and seek among the water lilies.

An imaginative poem and I was with you throughout, watching the red carp stirring the water! I saw the lilies and was also counting the bubbles, beautifully written, love Dolly x

A very well-written Etheree. Sitting at a pond while watching the fish play around in the pond, their way of hide and seek, a very relaxing time to spend the day.

This is a tranquil Etheree, a moment of Zen, that I enjoyed reading. Image and your poem work well together. The ending words, "bubbles pop," are cute and add spontaneity and playfulness to your piece. Marilyn

Marilyn - Thank you. I appreciate your review on my etheree poem. I have a fish pond and enjoy watching the fish swim and chase each other. It's very calming. They always get excited and swim towards me when they see I'm there watching as they know they may be in for a nice food treat. ~DD

Hi DD. Thank you for confirming your thoughts that fish do respond to us. I had an aquarium for years and I used to rub the glass as kind of a "pat" for my fish. They'd always respond by coming over to the glass. I'm convinced they knew their mommy. :) Marilyn
