Okay, I am doing my best to catch up on the 55 messages, no exaggeration. I have to delete a few, because there is just no way, but I am trying to read the books I am really enjoying. Of course you go and write this. I don't know when I will get to the next chapter. I am so far behind. But it is very interesting.

I understand about 55 messages. I receive many for each chapter of my autobiographer and have playing "catch up" myself.

Glad you enjoyed this portion of my autobiography.

Much more to come so I invite you to ride along.

Can pigs fly? That sounds just like a teen in a place like you described would think & probably say. Good thing you didn't. This is another great chapter in your story of this 'prison.' Your attention to detail is super. I believe you had a difficult time there, but I am enjoying how well written this is that you have shared here. Thank you. Jan

I am kind of surprised I did not say that to King Tubbo.

He and I did not like each other at all.

Glad he became part of my past shortly thereafter.

Also glad you are enjoying my autobiography.

There is more to come so stay tuned.

wow I have heard stories of places that are worse than military school and the rules apply to a select few. Very well written and the emotion of disgust is overwhelming

Very interesting chapter. I suppose they chose him for his "all-American" blond hair and blue eyes. He seems to know how to handle himself and what to expect. But did he do anything foolish? Reading on...

Glad you enjoyed this portion of my autobiography.

Since you have already read "Shell Game" you know I did not attend King Tubbo's vaunted social, and there was no way I would have. Us boys knew what they had planned and I definitely was not going to be party to any such event.

A well written biographical story about your life in the 'prison'. Sounds like a good place to be out of to me. I hope they got the air conditioning fixed for the next 'inmates'.~Debbie

This segment of your autobiography is interesting and clearly written. Kids in homes have a tough row to hoe, especially when required to participate in events at the whim of personnel--which may or may not be valid. No doubt that younger kids are vulnerable and remain so, until they can figure out how to evade such circumstances and pray that they can. Marilyn

another good post, Brett.
You vividly describe your stay at Hermitage Hall and King Tubbo, conveying your dislike. No privacy is a terrible thing. What an awful sounding place.
I would like to suggest, if you don't mind, that you remove the "to" at the end of the second sentence as it is not needed. "The head honcho could do that if he so desired."
I am enjoying your varied writings.

Your story is upsetting to say the least Brett. It is hard for me to believe such things happen to children who are believed to be in a safe environment. How can these perverts get away with it? Your story needs to be told. Good job. Nancy

I really love how this story helped developed your character. Your nonchalant but don't tolerate anyone's bull reminds so much of me lol. Five stars! Deserves more!

Hi Brett, so you grew up in an orphanage, I take it. I was lucky enough to get adopted at two and a half years, but it does shape who you are. I can sense the no nonsense attitude in you and your writing. All best. Ulla:))
