Good morning Dawn: This post is very interesting to me because my latest post, "I WANT YOU, I WANT YOU NOW!" speaks of my attraction to my husband due to his caveman ways. This sort of attraction does wear off quickly as that kind of narcissistic man continues to open his mouth spewing out stupidities and demands. Most women like myself cannot stomach this sort of behavior for too long which leaves me wishing that I did not marry him. However, he is my husband so I am requiring that he make many changes. He is trying though as he is realizing that I am reaching my limit.

This is a strong post with a strong message in it. I agree...

Tier, my friend, I am not the best person to address the issue - believe me! I will say this, I know someone who often manages to guide me when I am feeling uncertain, and he's said more than once (and backed it up with Scripture) that we (women) were created to be PARTNERS with our spouses. I'm not certain I agree, not 100%, because when it comes down to the final say, someone has to head the household.?? (and yes, that's attractive, and a relief to be able to let go of control...?)
My friend's name is Roy Owen, and he is a member here.

This poem is meant to caution, only, that we (women) MUST choose wisely, and if we CAN'T find the one we can trust fully to make the decision that is best for us, to go it alone. A mate might be desirable, but it is possible to live a full, rich life without one too - it's not necessary, perhaps, although absolutely the richest of blessings to have true love! Warning - this is my opinion only, and as I say, my good friend could be 100% correct - I would recommend reaching out to him. His gentle guidance (through Scripture he often quotes) has helped me through some dark times, and what he writes has occasionally seemed as if it was meant especially for me, as if it were a message...(if you know what I mean)...?

OMG! This is wonderful. I love that sexy dame in the picture! Hahahahah. I enjoyed this poem very much. I love what you said in this piece. More women need to feel this way. So many women believe that a man is the answer to everything and that they must be in a relationship - regardless.

Thank you, Suzanne - as I have said before, you spoil me! (But don't stop - don't stop PLEASE. LOL) No, a relationship, ANY relationship, is certainly NOT the answer to everything - in fact, if it is the wrong relationship it can ruin one's life...

That said, however, the right man can be the icing on the cake. *grin* By right, I mean the right one for ONESELF. But that true love is a rare thing, IMO, and that's an understatement...

Wait - did you hear that? I think I heard, "Ribbit." (LOL!) (Gotta kiss a lotta frogs...)

first of all, I love the primitive picture. She exudes strength and determination. God created a 'helpMATE' not not a diva or we wouldn't be here. Man couldn't have made it by himself. A rather different poem for you, Dawn - makes me think I'd hate to be dominated, but also enjoy being a woman who loves to please her man.
What comes to mind here is the word "equals" which suits me.

This is a thoughtful write...made me do a great deal of thinking. I don't want to be dominated, I want someone to walk beside me. Though I do believe in the Bible teaching that I woman should be subservient to her man -- but there's also the Bible teaching on how the right man WINS that subservience. It's not through power, but kindness; not through his physical size, but the size of his concern.

I enjoyed this poem and have to wonder where it came from... *smile*
