Cute one! What does one do if you "shoot your limit?" Sounds like a lot of messy work before any cooking can begin. Fun alliterative wordplay: dying drake, mallard malady and Dr. Duck!

Limits are established for how many birds can be bagged per shooting day. One bites into a lead pellet once in awhile. Thanks for reviewing.

I got a little scared there at the end. Your poem reminds me of The Twilight Zone. It was an enjoyable read. I'm assuming you found the picture first because I can't imagine writing the poem first and then actually finding a picture like that to go with it!

Thanks, Angela, for reviewing this. Yeh, when I decided to do ducks I went to Google for various types of images to go with either poems, scripts, or stories.
