Wow! This is such a nice poem. I enjoyed every line. You've described him so well. The rugged, silent type with substance. Great word choices and composition. Marilyn

I enjoyed reading your light and sweet poem. It flows well with the hope of love of a Montana cowboy and your artwork choice is beautiful. I like your ending and good luck in the contest.

A very well-written sweet poem. A man that seems to be grown with a hard beard, who still has something of his childhood he cannot hide is worth the trouble to wait for him.

Hi there,
You don't need to include the title on the post as the site does this for you so it just ends up being repeated.
This one fits the bill as far as requirements. nice little piece.

It was written as a flight of fancy just for the contest.

This is very good, but I live in Florida, not Montana. The reason my legs are bowed is from swimming with the dolphins. You're right, I'm not one for idle talk, so shut up and get here. I'm waiting.

Oh, Thomas, you are a man with fine words. :o) I've never been to Florida. But, I guess I'd better stay with my man from Texas. :o) This poem was written for my mother. My daddy once worked in Montana and my mom was left at home dreaming of him.

Hi there;
This definitely fit the bill of 'light and sweet.' I think we all have someone we think of as 'waiting' for us somewhere. Well told and I wish you luck in the contest,

Your Montana cowboy seems to be a true descendant of the western hero and we can easily see why the Speaker might be smitten. Easy to visualize him, especially in stanzas 2 & 3.

Aww, he's just a picture of my daddy. :o) This was written for my mother (now 88) of memories she had of my dad when he worked in Montana years ago. To me, my dad was "the hero." He's been gone now for 15 years. I can still see him standing on a prairie in Montana with his dark good looks.
