This was great. I really enjoyed reading it. I remember those old phones. Only suggestion is that you're missing an apostrophe on "its" on the line of the 8 year old. Happy holidays!

Good point about the rebates. Everyone loves them. I don't use a cell phone very often, so don't give much thought to the matter of reception. I like the sound of cellaphone. You show a lot of enthusiasm for your subject, which is great. Enjoy your "cellaphones" and have a wonderful holiday season. judi

How long has it been since the first "cellaphone" entered our lives? Your poem does a terrific job of taking us back to that shopping day when the whole family rejoiced with their new toy. The photo chosen really helps to bring it all back.
