A contest winner from 2018! I'm deep into your portfolio now...and these words, in your tetractys, are as true today as they were five years ago. What is wrong with mankind that we can't embrace peace?

Yes, ma'am, you hit the nail on the head with this one. The security at airports and borders seems to take it out on the innocent people and the terrorists still find their way through. Here in Canada our Prime Minister is welcoming terrorists in to our country against our wishes. I sure hope he'll be out of office the next election.
Congratulations on winning this contest! I'm so happy for you.

Yes, you are right about all this. Indifference may be the worst of these, however. The corrupt news media delight in spewing a constant stream of alarm over one catastrophe after another (even if they must exaggerate at times) -- the purpose being to dull us into inaction. The truth is that WE, the people have more power than the world oligarchy wants us to realize, as we outnumber them by thousands to one and increasingly know who they are. They are doing all they can with useless but toxic vaccines, mind-destroying fluoride in the water, nutritionless GMO "foods" saturated with carcinogenic glyphosate, and poisonous nano-particle fallout from chemtrails, in a long-term effort to reduce world population from seven billion to under five hundred thousand more easily controlled dull-minded serfs before we all wake up, declare "Enough!" and simply trample them out of existence. Once that is done, the root cause of both fear and hatred will be gone.
Your aptly illustrated poem meets the Tetractys requirements, and its topic is important for all humanity. Superb.

M-m-m interesting reflection here in this Tetractys poem about some of life's most fundamental principles - 'indifference' can perhaps be one of the greatest threats

Hi, this is very cleverly written and a good entry to the contest. It is not easy to get a message across with such strict structure, but you have achieved this. Good Luck in the contest - regards Dorothy

A very well-written Tetractys about the things we love and grow up with that are part of our lives should not be destroyed by hatred and division of the people of the country.

Hello, there!
My husband accuses me of 'thinking too much'. *smile*
When I came over to thank you for reviewing ME and to potentially offer a reciprocal review, I couldn't help but notice that, except for this urgent and powerful poem, you haven't had anything to 'say' since the middle of last year -- which seems to tell me that something has MOVED you.
Was it:
The prompt for this contest?
The current political climate?
The crazy beliefs of an odd neighbor??
*smile*
Whatever the impetus may have been, I think you've done a fine job of provoking your reader into a thoughtful mode. You've touched on the topic nicely -- just enough to get the wheels turnings, but not enough to blame one side or the other. (Smart!)
Well done, in my opinion, and I wish you much, much luck!!

Hello robyn,
Well, your husband may be correct! I believe you might have happened upon the short story, "Anna's Gift" which I wrote sometime during the middle of 2017, and I had re-posted it - which may have prompted you to think that something had "moved me" to write this offering. But I have been writing steadily since December of 2017 after almost a decade of sporadic offerings. Please take a peek at my portfolio; there is plenty!
Thank you for your delightful review. I must have moved someone as this poem was voted a winner!

Good you have the required syllables per line.
I like the title as well as the poem about what can destroy ones freedom if we don't stand up and defend our country.
Good luck with your poem.

Best wishes with your entry and splendid advice for both the right and the left. The artwork, too, is a reminder of where we have come from and what we must hold on to. It looks like you have met the guidelines for the prompt.
