This is an interesting picture. I have never seen so many lightning bugs in one place.
It would be cool to see them all among the leaves, so they look like lanterns.

While each successive line has one less syllable, it's very challenging to get the lines to "line up" in size as you've done making your poem more exceptional/unusual than the standard nonet. The topic is relatable and positive and the imagines seems to bring the "night lights" to life.

A traditional nine lines cum 9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 syllable structure compliant Nonet Poetry Contest Entry that reminisces the glow of fireflies in the forest.
The work highlights the glowing embroidery of light emitted by the fireflies and how it bears a captivating effect on the protagonist.
The work earns its texture through the use of imagery and alliteration.
