Hello Tom,
A strong beginning to your poem of the interplay of dark and light.
Life requires the sun and the sun produces the shadow;
all of history can be viewed as a shadow of what once was.
Life is short, but light continues, and perhaps insight
in the form of words, deeds, creations.
Excellent rhyme scheme and good meter.
Nicely done.

Chiaro e scuro, light and dark. without one the other does not exist. No shadow. How dark the shadow will depend upon how much attention one gives it. Poetry is hard for me to follow, but that doesn't take from it's beauty.

Another fascinating poem. This one flowed and ebbed with what could have either been described as creepy or somber.
My favorite part:
I am the truth upon the wall
That flows with constant rise and fall;
I wish I could meter like that.

What we do in the dark becomes the light we shine to those who are watching closely as they see the two of us, the warm bright light and the bitter coldness we exude. We can't hide it from our head to our feet. This will be projected onto those with open eyes. At least that's my interpretation. Thanks for sharing your fine poetic work Blessings to you

Shadow is our constant companion .It often distorts the truth but it is still there as long as we are alive..Not sure i understood the last two stanzas..the poem had great alliterations and rhymes..

Not sure I totally understand this, but it is deep. So when you die, you lose your shadow sun. Not sure what a shadow sun is, unless it is just a shadow. But all in all, it was a good poem.

I feel a sense of loss with this piece. Like I had something that faded away because I let it slip through my fingers. It makes me want to hold on to the good things in life that you fail to notice on a regular basic.
