This is an amazing poem. Not just is its message enduring, but the format is so clever.

When I first read it, I had a feeling there was more going on than initially met the eye, but when I read the author's notes, I was floored.

This is incredible, and so worthy of six stars.

I also love the information about the white tulips. I learned a lot from this. Thank you.

Take care,
Rhonda

I very much like the way this is done and formatted. If not a requirement of the contest, you were very creative in the presentation of your words and with the selected picture to accompany. Very nice and good luck to you in your writing!

    Hello Wendy,
    So pleased you enjoyed!
This was a bit of a challenge, but I was snowbound, so I had plenty of time to attempt a cleave poem!

    Thank you!

A very imaginative poem (pun intended). You've complied with the contest requirements to a "t". I liked you dividing the poem into two columns. Great word choices and depth. I wish you luck in the site's contest, this is certainly a strong contender.

Mrs. KT

A beautiful picture to accompany a beautiful poem. Great job writing a 3 in 1 poem. Your words flow well with great descriptive words. Thanks for sharing. Jan

The white tulip actually drew me in to read the beautiful poem.

I just bought a bunch of them at florists, imported ones from Holland, the land of tulips - because the spring here in Bavaria is still dwindling about although it hasn't snowed anew for a couple of days.

I'm afraid I'm not good enough in poetry to judge of advice abouth the technicalities.

But you poem did remind me of my parents teaching me the "worth" of the words please, thank you, and sorry.

Now this is an interesting concept of poetry. Something new for me. I like the idea of the way it is written. Seems difficult to do. Thanks for sharing. I find no fault.

I have never read this type of poem; so thank you for the complete author notes. This was quite an undertaking in my mind, because each of the poems stands alone; however, when combined, the thoughts just shine! This is such an unusual piece for me, and it's deserving of a sixth professional level star, not only for the complexity of putting the three pieces together, but for the beauty and truth rendered after one does. Bravo! A winner!

Not an easy form to execute in such a way as to maintain coherent meaning in all three poems, but you have managed it well. The two internal poems combine to produce one that is greater than the sum of its parts.

A white tulip symbolizes forgiveness, purity and serenity. Tulips are grown from bulbs and bloom in the spring. They are identified by a cup-shape of pointed petals atop a tall, green stem. White tulips denote a new beginning and a sense of worthiness. '
I never knew any of this, what a beautiful poem, a stunning flower of a write with great notes love and regards Meia x

Honestly this is my first time reading a "cleave-poem" and I must say I do find it an enriching experience; that is to read one. And indeed, I couldn't agree more that forgiveness will always go a long way among ourselves. Thank you for your poem.
