Everyone knows that birds can talk, a shrew not so much. I would not think, even so tiny as the shrew is, the beak of a cockatoo could even swoop and scoop that shrew right into it's mouth, down into it's belly. Then Out he pops that shrew only to be eaten again, by the cat who stood near by. Funny little antidote and a good tale too. Sherman 541

I rather doubt the whole scenario myself. This ?anecdote? is clearly exaggerated. ; )

I did doubt it myself, but still a funny little tale:)

Very cute. Made me chuckle. This poem flows well. A cat would finish off a shrew in no time, but would not swallow it whole. This is make believe. A very entertaining little fable.

Actually, the cockatoo swallowed it whole and the cat did the eating. So, when people talk about this - and they will - we?ll have the story straight. : )

I knew the cat ate the shrew and the shrew killed the cockatoo

The question remains, who cleaned up the dead cockatoo?

What a dainty little animal. This is a funny poem, with nice publishing choices. You use slang to good effect. It adds to the cheekiness of the poem. Thanks, Ana.

This speaks how cockatoo failed but the cat did, the shrew is no more; nice moral; well written, well done; thank you for sharing. B A CHANGE INSPIRER-WRITER -- DR ALCREATOR

LOL What a great poem! Does the cat talk to? :-)
I certainly didn't see anything that needed to be corrected. It's a funny read and I enjoyed it.
All the best,
Jan

Thanks, Jan, for giving this a look. The cat had its mouth full and didn?t comment. Bill

Well, yuck. I never knew a shrew had such a long nose and I watch so many nature shows. Hey I just wrote a poem. =} Well done and though gory rather funny as well.
