Yeah very good, strong lines, good choice on these little guys, we have them around here, about the only bird you see or hear. Good luck and have a great day.

    Hello William,
They are so persistent at our feeders - in spite of the freezing temperatures! My winters would be so sad without them!
Thank you for your thoughtful review!

I really like this poem and picture, it's a good contest entry. I saw two of these birds in a tree in our yard this morning, singing so pretty that I had to stay and watch for awhile. You educated me today because I had no idea that they were chickadees. I wish you luck in the contest.

This is a very good entry for the 5-75 Bye bye blackbird contest. Very well chosen words with very good rhyme. You've chosen a delightful illustration. Good luck in the competition. Jen.

This is a cute little poem about the Chickadee. I don't know that I've heard the song of this little bird. This poem makes the reader want to search them out.. I like this well written little poem. Well done.

    Hello Jeffrey,
Once you hear its song, you will always hear it: "Chick- a - dee- dee -dee" I love it!

He seems happy enough. There is certainly a feast prepared for him there. I have often wondered how it is birds get away with eating stuff that is deadly poisonous to us humans. We were told on our jungle survival course, don't eat what the birds eat but eat what the rats eat. that I felt put us humans in our place.

    Oh my goodness, Friend!
I have never heard of that advice, but it surely is my smile for the day!
I am always amazed how the Black-capped Chickadee not only survives but flourishes in some of the coldest environments. But after a grueling winter storm, he/she is always the first to our birdfeeders...and his/her song is truly delightful...
Thank you for your thoughtful review! Much appreciated

I sued to love these little birds who flitted around everywhere near my northern Arizona cabin. Well done and thanks for the memory.

A very well-written 5-7-5 poem about a bird. Your choice was to write about the black-capped chickadee that sings a steadfast heartfelt melody with glee.

Amidst the harshest of winters...and never leaves...warming even the most frozen hearts...

I think this a good entry for the Bye Bye Blackbird writing prompt.
Your message of the heartfelt melody of the chickadee is well told in just three lines.
Well done and good luck to you with the competition.

He is cute. I love watching the birds and squirrels from inside when it's cold outside. I'm getting a writing desk and we're positioning it so I can see the main tree I watch when I sit in it. I love them because they are so cute. I hate things that can fly and attack me but I do love watching the birds.
