Oh yes I love this poem and its message. Our light comes from the son not the sun. Great message here about knowing where our light comes from. Good rhyming and word flow make it easy to read and understand. God bless for sharing this with us.

Very nice. Very inspiring that you look to the moon and realize that even the moon needs assistance in order to shine so beautifully. Great work, nice analogy. Good luck!

I liked the musical elements woven together here, the urgent personal voice. I think you make an interesting connection to Jesus here, through the moon. It somehow brings to mind the Virgin Mary, pointing the way to her Son. It speaks of how we reach out through physical images, to find spiritual renewal and uplift. interesting image idea. estory

Thank you for your inspired review. I can picture the image you refer too. We also know how many time Jesus used nature draw out certain important messages.

I really love this poem. Perhaps because I wrote a similar one, but I referenced the stars, instead of the moon. Your poem reads similar to a prayer (or a plea) to God for mercy and strength.

Great usage of the couplets and rhyme scheme.

I hope the poem did well in the contest.

Likewise, Liz. The name of the poem is "Shine for Me, Evening Star".

The author was able to explore the theme of change using the moon as a pivot point to deliver the message intended for the readers. The rhymes are quite smooth. I enjoyed the read. Thanks for sharing.

Oooooo...I love this poem you've penned about the moon, Liz. It sounds like a mystical spell, lol. There is great power in the Moon, quiet magical. ~Kerry

A very well-written spiritual poem. We sometimes need a guide to lead us and help us see what God wants us to do. When we look in nature we find many things to show us there is a God that makes it all.

Thank you for your inspired review. As we know Jesus referred to nature several times to deliver the message of how God cares for us, lest we worry.
